LOCATION
We are located just outside the 1733 Quaker Village of Waterford, Virginia.
We are 38 miles from DC, 19 miles from Dulles International Airport, and 6 miles from Leesburg VA.
Loudoun County has many types of accommodations including hotels, ABNBs, and Bed and Breakfast for your guests.
THE FACILITIES
Main Barn- Our Amish built timber frame barn built in 2014 is a replica of an old hay barn that burned down in Poolesville, MD. It is 33 feet from the floor to the ridge and the original barn openings in front and back are fitted with windows and doors affording views to the east and west of the Catoctin and the Blueridge Mountains. There is a large stone fireplace at one end and a bar and dumbwaiter at the other end. There are two restrooms on this level and stairs leading down to the tasting room. Capacity: 120 seated
Tasting Room- The tasting room is in the lower level and has two large bifold doors that can be opened to the patio. The tasting room has access to the warming kitchen/dumbwaiter and 2 more restrooms. The tasting room is ‘rustic/industrial” with gas pipe lighting and polished concrete floors. It is furnished with a permanent bar and bistro style seating for 60.
Patio: The patio is outfitted with umbrella tables and chairs, Adirondack chairs, and propane fire pits. Seating for 40.
Kitchen- The warming kitchen includes a 3 bowl sink, handwashing sink, gas range and access to the dumbwaiter.
Outdoor Ceremony- There is a leveled grass area located between the event barn and the vineyard which is ideal for an outdoor ceremony with views to the east and west as well. Outdoor electric outlets are available on this site.
CEREMONY REHERSAL
Wedding rentals are given two hours for a ceremony rehearsal. If you would like to have a rehearsal dinner at Terra Nebulo please arrange for a private event.
ALCOHOL
As we are also a winery, only wines purchased from Terra Nebulo Vineyards may be served (15% discount applied).
Beer (no kegs) and a signature cocktail may be served if the renter or caterer provides a one-day ABC banquet license. The signature cocktail should be served during the cocktail hour only.
MUSIC
We welcome bands or DJ’s to perform during your event and you may use electronically amplified music. Music may be played outdoors only during the wedding ceremony. All other music mute be played indoors.
SMOKING
Smoking is allowed only on the patio. A cigar humidor is provided for your use in the Tasting Room.
TRANSPORTATION
In order to keep traffic through the Historic Village of Waterford to a minimum, most guests should arrive and depart in arranged group transportation.
A horse and carriage would be a great option for this venue. Ask us for recommendations.
GET READY SPACE
There are several rental options in the Village of Waterford (including whole house options). Ask us for a list of accommodations.
Those booking in advance may be able to take advantage of some planned improvements including get ready spaces for the bride and groom.
